May I ask what you've done thus far in terms of searching? For example, have you simply looked at what your university's office of career services has to offer? Have you just applied to top programs? I'd be more than happy to help if I knew more.

More generally, don't be discouraged. I'm at a top 30 USNews university, and although I'm only a freshman, I have a rather strong resumé with pretty prestigious internship already under my belt from senior year, as well as various leadership roles and I've made dean's list.

I must've sent out anywhere between 40-50 cover letters/resumes/applications. Over half of the places didn't even bother responding one way or another. I luckily did get an interview with one of the firms I contacted, and landed the internship.

Once again, don't get discouraged. Internships are more competitive now than they've ever been, and the situation is only exacerbated by the awful economy, which is making firms either cut back on the amount of interns they'd usually take or just reluctant to take on any interns period.

Feel free to PM me outlining the process that you've gone through thus far and I'd be more than happy to pass along some pointers/advice.

It is really late in the process, but it's certainly not impossible to still land an internship.
