As I had said before in other places, I think you are nuts to rely on the rankings, particlarly for an undergraduate degree. For example, look at the locations of Cornell vs Wharton in terms of access to major business firms. Wharton kids easily have access to and exploit their location on the Northeast corridor trainline almost without thought. It is a much tougher trick from Cornell, just on location. Most of the top schools major schools are good. I think there can be some legitimate issues with some of the smaller schools that have bubbled up. It has been argued that BW has a private school bias because of they way they do the rankings. Highly diverse schools won't make it some claim.
