Whoa,
twinboys - I've known the cello professor at DePaul for a couple years now - he's absolutely awesome both as a musician and a person. Your daughter's lucky to be studying with him

Also, about waitlists and such - if it I would go ahead and put a deposit for Hartt if it's not too expensive (most of the deposit $ at places I was considering was not really that much in comparison to, say, tuition... ha).
