| Colleges look at courseload and challenge. The fact that you've been taking APs and Honors will have an effect. Compared to somebody with all As in regular subjects, someone who's challenged themselves will be more desirable. Most high schools also send a profile of the school along with the transcript, so colleges will be aware of your school's strengths and grading policies. A few Bs will be fine if you can keep a GPA at around 3.8uw or so. When applying to the privates you mention, your ECs, essays and rec letters will be very important as these will have a major impact on your application. |
