| Go to the teacher (even if she's senile) and ask for help. At the very least you demonstrate that you're trying. Tell her how you are studying and ask for study tips. Compare the test to the book and your notes and see if you can find any patterns (for example, are all the questions from sub-headings? Does she ask a certain amount of questions per section?)
Be proud that you don't cheat. You sound a little tempted to join the crowd. Don't. You'll wind up hating yourself.
