LAC, You're probably aware that the chance of transferring into LACs, especially selective ones, is LOW, so it's a good idea to cast a wide net.

Williams has what many would say is the top art history department in the country, world class museums and a strong network to the arts community.

Other LACs that I'd recommend would be Wesleyan, Hamilton, Kenyon, Vassar, Oberlin, Conn College, Skidmore. If you are female, Smith and Bryn Mawr.

I certainly wouldn't turn down Swarthmore, even though art history isn't one of its strongest departments. The Philadelphia museum is a fabulous resource and the New York art world is reasonably accessible. You can also take classes at Bryn Mawr which has a great art history program.

Since LACs are tough for transfers I'd also take a look at some of the larger school. If you have the grades for Swarthmore you could also consider Brown and Yale. Somewhat less selective (but still academically challenging) would be WUSTL, Boston University, Boston College and any one of many large state universities like Michigan, Virginia or North Carolina.

Good luck and let us know how you do.
