| Carleton theater groups usually put on one or two musicals a year - my daughter was in one as a freshman last year. She was also in the choir last year (isn't this year due to rehearsal schedule), and I saw them when they performed in New Orleans last year - very good, interesting repertoire. A cappella is HUGE - D is now in one of the groups. Carleton has great study abroad programs (Literature in Ireland might interest your sister), and one of the benefits of the trimester system is that it is possible to do two study abroad programs.
Whitman is a great college - it's one that I wish had been on our radar before doing applications.
