what's the big deal with being out of state?

they can't discriminate against you just because you are coming from out of state..

It's supposed to be an "equal opportunity" institution..

I don't know why everyone makes it a big deal on this board...

The only way in state will benefit you is in terms of pre-requisites.. for example, I'm applying to Carlson for next fall, and I'm a MN resident studying at Bemidji State in MN, they will tell me exactly which pre-requisites I have to take to transfer to Carlson at my school, so I have an edge over other students in the sense that I have already completed their pre-requisites while others might not because they took the wrong course or it will simply not transfer...

Being OOS means nothing...
