| My memory is that for some years approximately 90% of all incoming freshmen request a modern dorm, at least that is what someone in Reslife allegedly told a poster last year. There are definitely not enough modern dorm rooms for everyone who requests them. However, it does appear from reading previous years’ posts that nearly everyone ends up happy in the end even if they don’t think they will be when they first get their dorm assignments.
Dorm assignments, roommate assignments, lottery numbers for future housing choices for upperclassmen…they are all things that you can hope for the best, but realize that they are not something you have total control over. Put in your request, accept your assignment, and you will most likely, by the end of your freshman year, end up very happy with your dorm, your floor, your friends and your life at Wash U. |
