While I do think that these statistics are frightening and transferring in general, (from the application process to admissions notifications, to arriving at your new campus), is an extremely difficult process, the rewards in the end, justify the means...
I wouldn't be where I am now, without having transferred to a different university... It's opened up a completely new world, fortunately, something I can still experience and enjoy as an undergrad, rather than waiting until graduate school. But hey, to each his or her own...
