| As a performance only program, Steinhardt is usually listed last behind the other NYC Conservatories. Academically and for music ed it is one of the best. We have a friend, a talented jazz musician, who left Steinhardt because of the lackluster performance opportunities. But it might be the right balance for someone who is not primarily interested in being a performer. |
