I initially put that, but I changed it b/c i remember the brits switching to slaves instead of indentured servants to prevent future rebellions, which would indicate strengthened leadership (not too sure if it specifically meant Sir Berkeley who was a useless tool)
on wiki, it says right to bear arms was revoked as a result of bacon's rebellion, also indicated less civil rights=greater gov't authority. |
