Another question:
Should I apply for both MRC and UROP?

I want to make sure that I have the ability to participate in university research as a freshman. Because MRC and UROP both involve applications, and aren't guaranteed, should I apply for both of them? Does the MRC application automatically apply someone to the UROP program as well?
