dconcerned, you need to be more specific with your request....the number of permutations and choices when it comes to uni selection can be unlimited given each individual's diff strengths, preferences, learning styles, financial constraints, career aspirations etc. and the sheer amount of unis that cater to these diff applicants....

for example, if you want a good education, oxbridge's tutorial system and LACs small classes are a good bet....on the other hand, oxbridge requires you to specialise early, which may or may not appeal/be beneficial to some ppl, and LACs are limited in the number of modules they offer because they dont have the size and resources of a major research uni....which on the other hand lack the undergrad emphasis and hence education quality that a LAC provides (a student whos intending to return home after graduating would benefit more from the prestige of a major research uni while a student whos interested in grad school/staying in the states might benefit more from a LAC)

if you want a list of reputable/well-known unis, u can look to rankings and word-of-mouth, u dont need and most probably wont get a list from CCers

but if u're interested in compiling say an "idiot's guide to college selection", i'll be glad to offer some help though....start off by clarifying what you're looking for
