To all of you in residence halls with lofted beds (with the desk underneath)...

Where, exactly, do you put your alarm clock, reading materials, etc.??? We will be required to keep our beds lofted, and I'm clueless as to where you put "nightstand things." I'm an early riser...do I really have to quickly climb down to turn off my alarm clock "down below" so as not to wake my roommate?

Do you use clip-on lights to read??

Just trying to figure this all out.
