| It's not up for debate that alcohol is bad; it can be and is bad when used to excess. But in moderation it's a completely different story. Alcohol is used for basically one reason -- it's fun. And everyone knows how ridiculous that sounds, but everyone also knows it's true. However, starting as early as freshman year (and yes, I'm considering this summer to still be your freshman year; you're not suddenly more mature the day after school lets out) is ridiculous. Just WAIT. There is absolutely no reason for you to start drinking yet, and the fact that you're "rebellious by nature" is not one. You may think it makes you cool, your friends may think it makes you cool, but it doesn't. |
