| prom and driving
prom is in a couple weeks and i already have a date and parents okayed that i can go. but they recently sprung that they want to drop my date and i off and pick us up, perhaps cause they don't trust me to not take drugs and/or drink (which i feel is ridiculous cause i've never taken drugs or taking a swig of the stuff before).
but no matter how much i try to talk them to let me drive myself, they're adament about dropping off and picking up. was it a good decision on their part or is it a poor decision and why? and if it is a bad decision, what can i try to say so they would allow me to take the car?
i've been driving since 08/06 and haven't received a citation or gotten into a car accident. i get good grades in school and on my way to college UCSB. the only thing is, i dont drive much at night, esp around midnight, i'm usually home by 10 at the latest, but i've driven 2hrs straight before to visit a college with no problems. |
