| I'm surprised (well, actually I guess not) that Obama hasn't paid a price among his African American bloc for repudiating "the black church". That was an all-star crowd in support of Rev. Wright at the National Press Club, including luminaries such as Cornell West. Logically, it seems that repudiating that entire gathering of leaders would cost Obama a point or two, but that doesn't seem to be the case. All the polling from NC suggests that he will get his usual 90%+
I just don't see how Obama could lose NC. If that were to happen, he would be finished as a viable candidate, but the Democratic Party would probably opt to just go down with the ship anyway. After all, what's another loss? |
