| Emeryville is OK, but I would highly recommend taking the Emeryville shuttle (it is free) to and from the MacArthur BART station. It is a sketchy area around that station.
Unless or until you get to know the East Bay, find a place to live closer to campus. Berkeley is fine, Albany is fine, Rockridge close to the BART station is fine...all of those should be relatively safe areas. (But not guaranteed...) |
