| my scores and passion for math and science are my only real advantages for engineering, but i really dont think winning state math competitions and joining your schools engineering club are crucial to applying. However, i am taking an engineering course at brown this summer, so i have definite visible interest.
My main hook in applying is that I'm not, excuse the stereotype, another nerdy math wizz asian who is pretty much a human calculator. Im a top math and physics student with excellent talent in languages and english, so i will bring a new communication and charisma into engineering, which many schools are looking for. A caucasian math scholar from connecticut is becoming increasingly rare and desired by top schools. |
