thats not exactly accurate. although we technically have 3 years on campus, its 4 years worth of classes. that is why we have 3 trimesters (usually 18-21 credits), and the academic year is about 11 months long. if you count sea projects, which would be the equivalent of 1 years worth of college credits, its more like 5 years of academics packed into 4 years. if your son is absolutely certain he wants to go into the USCG, the choose cga. if not, and he has an open mind and wants some flexibility and options, choose kp. keep in mind that you can get a commission in the CG if he decides to go that route. |
