'Research associate' in the humanities most likely means that she is being hired for a 1-3 yr contracted position to teach introductory courses (maybe Freshman writing-type stuff? or distribution requirements?). Suck it up, NU freshmen, the places where this woman aspires to get tenure are not dumb enough to hire her into tenure-track jobs (yet!) but they're willing to hire her to lecture you and grade your essays. |
