My stats were pretty similar to yours and I was admitted for 2012 (I'll be attending in the Fall). Plus, I'm from NJ where I imagine they get more applicants from than North Carolina, so you might have a geographic advantage. Honestly, since my math scores were a little on low side (600 SAT Math/ 25 ACT Math), as were my math grades, I was nervous about my chances. I did, however, try to use my writing experience and interest in history as a hook so that may have helped. I suggest you try to find something that you're particularly good at and talk about it, not arrogantly of course but passionately.
