Shang:Yellow River Valley, was isolated which caused them to believe they were the center of the world Chou: longest dynasty, Mandate of Heaven (China closer to heaven than other countries) Qin: many construction projects (Great Wall), was eventually the downfall of dynasty Han: ruled by Huns, Confucian ideas major part of this dynasty (educated rulers) Sui:Beginning of Golden Age and reunification of China Tang: China becomes more powerful due to Silk Road, Buddhism enters China (from India I believe) Song: Pre-modern era, commercial development Yuan (Mongol): increase trade (change from Song where there was little trade) Ming: Ming voyages brought down by Neo-confuciasts Qing:Europeans enter Chinas, Opium War Republic of China: rapid modernization
