| Well, NY has almost 19 million people in it. NJ has less than half of that. Also consider probably at least 13 million of them live around NYC in NY. That's a lot of people in an urban area. And many graduates from Michigan have ended up in NYC and NY, more so than NJ. It's no wonder that that area produces many more students to Michigan than NJ. |
