I'm always keeping in mind that while an event may seem tragic, sweeping and utterly defining to oneself, those overweening statements of bravado come of cliche and trite to adcoms. Also, girth is another thing- I hate having to cut things out because I'm a rat pack when it comes to writing but editing is absolutely necessary. Concise, easy to read essays that are flavorful and smooth pack the hardest punch! |
