I agree about the Oxford thing. I'd much rather transfer to my 1st-choice school instead of going to any sort of "general study" or 2-year thing...

I'm starting to lose hope, too. I know Emory says it ends June 1, but it seems like a lot of people are already getting in from the wait list.
