Part of the reason they tell the teachers of the AP subjects not to be in the rooms with the students taking the test is so that the teachers also don't see all of the questions, since they reuse them from year-to-year.

You know, what you might do, and this may let you sleep a little better at night, is ask your English teacher what he was doing in the room. Just a little "Hey, thanks for the support coming in during the test. All my other AP teachers tell me that you guys aren't allowed in. Guess they just didn't want to..." will give you a pretty good gut instinct about whether this was really just an accident or not. Then, if you get the feeling, it was intentional, you can decide where to go from there.
