I went to HSSP last summer and i had a blast. You will meet so many new people and it's just one of those things you will never forget. I have friends from hssp that I still keep in touch with and about 15 of us are actually going to washu next year. I don't know anything about the Lopata house, last year we stayed in Lee. But, a word of advice, most likely you will not run out of money on your meal card. You do not need to worry about buying extra food to conserve your money. Many kids last year had 3 days or so left and still had $100 + on their meal cards. You don't realize in the beginning that you don't eat every meal at washu- you'll go out to dinner every once in awhile or skip breakfast on the weekends. If you have any other questions, just let me know! Also, I will be attending washu next year and i'm going back this summer for FSAP- the freshman summer academic program, basically hssp for incoming freshmen. you'll probably fall in love with washu- i know i did.
