Sigh... everyone here has a gpa of 3.5 or above, i'm at 2.8 right now, and i'm taking summer courses to increase my GPA, USC has been my dream school but it seems like reading all this has shattered my dreams. Now i'm questioning whether I should even bother applying to usc for fall transfer 2009. I go to Embry-Riddle btw studying aerospace engineering, and I was diagnosed with deafness in my second semester here and this really affected my grades in my first two years, I have adapted though, and registered with disability services too late (end of my second year and i'm going into my junior this fall).

I ask my friend's to explain the notes I take in class (I can hear a little in my right ear when someone is at least a foot away but they have to speak louder than usual). If I do apply how would I tell USC about my condition? and would they take this into consideration?

I really regret getting help late, it was in part, due to my ego (as I did not want to face the fact I was going deaf) and the complicated hearing impairment I have, there really is no cure for tinnitus and the hearing loss I have, and a standard hearing aid would just make inaudible noise a lot louder and irritating (not exactly make me hear better).

What else can I do to boost my chances? or explain my situation? you think anyone got in with a 3.0? (considering I get all As for my summer course as I am taking two courses Dynamics and Fluid Mechanics).

Thanks a lot guys.
