| The day after my son replied to the email, there was a message on our machine asking for transcripts. I faxed them over that day. Emails were exchanged and the offer letter was sent via email a few days later (late last week) and actually arrived in the mail this past Monday. Last Friday, I was in contact with the FA office and they wanted verification for our FAFSA information, so that was faxed over Monday morning but were able to give us an estimate of a package. I received via email Monday afternoon a revised and final FA package (slightly larger scholarship than originally offered). After a family meeting Tuesday night, complete with spreadsheets, my son decided to stay with UArts which offered a MUCH better financial package. So, the whole process took a little over a week.
On another note, my husband was born and raised in LaCrosse and we met at University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He is a UW-L grad (music major). We try to get to LaCrosse as often as we can and love going back. We still have friends there. I hope you fall in love with LaCrosse, we love it. We have a college friend whose daughter recently graduated from Viterbo. She was originally a MT major (switched to vocal performance) and she loved Viterbo. She has recently been accepted to Roosevelt to pursue a masters in Opera performance. My own son, in the end, chose not to audition at Viterbo because he didn't want to be in the same town where his Mom & Dad attended college and where we still have many contacts. I was hoping he would, so we had more opportunities to visit!! I don't think that sounded as appealing to him, though.
