Hmm. Well there are a few kids who are smart at my school. Basically the three girls who have 4.0's in all Honors/AP classes are girls who do extracurriculars for the sake of putting things on their resume.
I'm one of the 2 guys in our Top 5, and we actually pursue extracurriculars for fun (the other one is a close friend of mine).
