and to add to MMH's response...a majority of students that do walk at night, do so in groups, and not alone. My son lived off campus and was not uncomfortable either but I preferred he travel with company. He spent most of his time on campus and in the labs.
Give Lehigh a good look yourself. Don't overlook it because she isn't a "party girl". That's poor advice to give a student.
