| Douglass, Radcliffe, Pembroke, Barnard and Scripps are/were in a class unto themselves because their brother schools were in walking distance, not just in close proximity. Thus, as bugmom posts above, there were/are always guys on campus and the schools even sponsored joint programs (Scripps, for example fields a coed track team with CMC). This is far less the case at Smith, MoHo and other women's colleges where students travel by bus (up to 25min) to other campuses. |
