| Attacking New Haven is the way that ill-informed outsiders typically try to attack Yale. Honestly, the city has some very nice areas, and because it is city (albeit not as overwhelming as a place like NYC), it offers far more resources. There are great restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, etc.
Safety in New Haven as a whole has greatly improved. I was reading a Crimson news article the other day about how there were more "violent crimes" re: student there than at Yale. B/c New Haven has had such a bad rep, the university goes to extra precaution to ensure student safety. |
