| After BCT, if people injure themself seriously like ACL tears or broken major bones (legs usually), they tend to opt to go home for a year to heal. Part of that is guilt for some people as well so they don't have to sit around all year and watch their classmates be trained while they watch. But, that's their option, they can stay. Another advantage of going home though is that you have that year to heal and academically prepare more AND you get to return AFTER BCT so you don't have to do it again. Disadvantage being you don't know your new classmates as well.
Bottom line is: Once you're out of BCT, injuries are far less likely to have you sent home unless they prevent you from being commissionable. |
