Unfortunately, I had bad experiences with both a turboprop and a small jet. A small jet going from Philly to Ithaca, thru US Airways, was somewhat trubulent but not crazy. The turboprop I tried, once, it suddenly sunk for like 3 seconds in the air, which kinda felt like riding the Giant Drop in six flags. It is also noisy and bumpy as hell, I thought the plane was gonna crash. I would do the best to avoid direct flights to Ithaca as much as possible.
