I am not the Gospel on Dorms, mrocked. My limited knowledge and experience is that MOST of the dorms that are triples are those who checked they would take a converted double etc. But not all. It can happen. It also depends on which dorm you selected. Hughes is all quads but has a different layout anyway. Its also the messiest. Kids are kids.

As to the precise percentage of triples this year I dont know. Call or email ResLife and ask them. Perhaps they will tell you.

There were some triples even in Queens last year, somewhat unusual. But from what we gleaned, it went pretty well and some of those were changed to doubles in January when people left.

The KEY is to be grateful and easy to get along with. Keep your "stuff in one seabag" so to speak. Be considerate of others. You will be fine.

Triples are not as bad as they say and doubles arent as good as they say. There are ups and downs to both, if you think about it.

It was interesting to see how the students self selected for sophomore year: which dorm (OHare's wellness dorm or not..meaning NO DRINKING.) and who they self selected as roommates. Sometimes opposites attract if you know what I mean.

Freshmen funk sets in usually after Thanksgiving...the weather changes, you get tired of dorm drama, cafeteria food (the caf, as they call it), and drudgery of homework, papers, exams etc sets in....and those first set of grades! YIKES! Its worse in January and February. Homesickness is real bad after Christmas, especially for kids who are not from the immediate area and cant go home for a weekend respite. But by March they are all chipper again...excited for Spring Break, having resolved some dorm drama hopefully, and just growing up a little bit more. By May when exams are over (thank God!) and they are packing out, you see lots of hugs and tears.....tears of joy, tears of accomplishment, and tears of knowing how much you will miss your friends over the summer. So its all good in the end.

Its normal college life.

Chubeebo: To answer your question, the mailer I got says this year all you do is show your ID card and you are IN to the stadium. Basketball may be another matter. But it looks like the 35.00 fee is waived for football this year. I was at last years' Parents weekend game against Holy Cross when we kicked the Crusaders up and down the field...and really showed what we were made of.....starting our playoff bound run! Go Rams!
