| Orientation week is important - don't go away. Besides the obvious orientation events (tours, socials, placement tests) it's one of the most important times of the year, socially. You'll be meeting people in the dorms, going to campus sponsored dances, etc. I don't know about Crown, but for my orientation at Porter our first core lecture was that Monday night BEFORE other classes began. I know at least a couple other colleges do this as well.
I was also a Porter orientation leader for two years, so I will stress orientation week for all it's worth. |
