The frat mentioned above costs about $1000 per semester. This means that it includes a meal plan thats "better" than the food found in campus and a place to live as well. I talked to a student who's part of Sigma Phi Epsilon and says that its cheaper living in the frat than on campus.
In addition, you can cancel your meal plan and dorm fees once you join.
