| I talked with one of the admissions counselors about how they decide who gets admitted. First he said that they weighed your GPA, and it can increase by .3 or more if you took a lot of honors/AP classes. He wouldn't tell me specifically how they weighed it, though. He also said that they give your essay a score from 1-6, and that if you're on the bubble it can be a deal-maker or a deal-breaker. He also said if your weighted GPA is 3.8+, your SAT is 1800+, and you write a decent essay, then you are in extremely good shape for admission. |
