I vote with the majority (is that why this got misplaced to the politics forum?). If the status quo/majority had to be followed all Christians would still be Catholics, or better yet, prechristian era European barbarians. Societies are constantly evolving, fortunately. Our future should be nonchristian with globalization and the fact that the rest of the world (think of the billions of Indians and Chinese, not to mention Africans and indigenous people from the Americas) doesn't necessarily have JudeoChristian cultural roots.
I sure would like to see a pendulum swing towards less sex and violence in entertainment, but not according to the OP's agenda. I also have noticed the HGTV selection of real people in their shows. I also have noticed many more blacks in many roles on TV- much better than living in a then lily white city watching white tv in the '60's. It will be easier to get the sex and violence out of the media if a secular approach is taken- people who apply religion to basic values lose a valuable resource in fighting against demeaning activites. And, since being gay is a part of the normal spectrum of being human, that will not be part of the agenda.
