I'm the conservative republican who's a passionate (marching even!) supporter of gay marriage. I'm one of the true conservatives who views gay marriage as a family value that benefits society. Wanna get married and assume the responsibilities? Great. I'll throw the rice!
My dearest friend from high school went through the identity-coming out process and it was a great day when The King of the Universe (my son) was ring-bearer at his commitment ceremony. But how nice if it would have been a legal wedding?
I do agree, though, that churches should be able to make their own rules.
