for the record - my discomfort with the show had nothing to do with the same sex relationship - it was the gratuitous sex and the "TMI" feeling. I am a bit of a prude, but I love to see a love story whether gay, straight whatever. They could have done a better job ( I think) of portraying their confusion and hesitation, but I guess the show is geared towards a diiferent demographic than me.

I am wondering how many of the respondents, especially the ones who chastised the OP, did SEE the episode in question.
I believe that the posters who advocated to "not watch what you do not like" are missing the point that a very popular show might not need to include gratuitous sex scenes, especially scenes depicting alternatives lifestyles. This has really NOTHING to do about gay life or acceptance but everything to do about what has become acceptable on our national TV scene.
Fwiw, if the Hollywood writers wanted to push an agenda and add to the sensitivity of the viewing audience, they'd better portray stories that are a lot less crude and nasty. And that is exactly what the Grey scene was.
