<<No, you're not. You are intolerant of allowing me to have my beliefs. You don't like that I have a belief that something might be wrong, might be sin. I am intolerant of certain behaviors in that I believe certain behaviors are sinful. I don't claim to be "tolerant." And I am speaking for myself, not necessarily "all Christians" or "all conservatives" nor necessarily "the majority." (And I do not believe that "the majority" is always "the loudest.")>>
*I* don't claim to be tolerant of bigots of any stripe, including you. I don't care whether you are "the majority" or not. That's completely irrelevant.
I certainly defend your right as an American citizen to hold any opinion you wish, no matter how abhorrent I find it, and your constitutional right to express it.
Is that "tolerance"? If so, fine. But "tolerance" doesn't meaning "agreeing to let it go unanswered," which is what you seem to think. And it doesn't include "respect." I don't "respect" the bigoted homophobes who call themselves "conservative Christians" one tiny little bit. I don't have to respect you. I just have to defend your right to free speech
Is that clear enough, LJMama?
