tokenadult is correct-- an ED application is typically accompanied by a required signed document (contract) indicating that if accepted you will attend, and will rescind any and all other applications. If one is not financially prepared to attend that school, they shouldnd apply ED. It is the rare instance that a student will be released from an ED acceptance if the FA is insufficient, but it is not a good thing to do-- and is usually looked badly upon.
