For some odd reason, I can't post a reply on the thread about graduation gifts...so I'm answering via this "new" thread. Sorry.

If we have a windfall of some sort, we would love to replace the used car DS is driving with a new one when he gets his masters. We asked HIM what was important and he said...comfortable seats, fuel economy, and a good warranty. We are looking at the Hyundai Elantra, Yaris, Fit, and Versa...and maybe the Mazda 3. Don't forget when you do your "bargaining" to toss in that this is for a college graduation. Many car manufacturers also have a "college graduate" discount...about $500...but hey...every penny counts.
