We live in the northeast also and my daughter, who is a senior, only took the ACT and the PSAT. So far she has gotten into Boston College, Villanova & Fordham EA and Univ. of Pittsburgh (full tuition scholarship).
The colleges are fine with no SAT but the guidance counselors act as though you are on drugs.
