My S didn't apply to Williams and the only reason he didn't is because of the supplemental essay. He thought its focus was on the external and not on the internal. I thought that would actually make a great essay, but his thinking was that if the essay question focused on the external, would the school focus on something different in practice?
I couldn't argue and we moved on.
Although I fully admit he may just not have wanted to write an additional essay!
