Air Force draws Michigan for NCAA hockey opener

Air Force will play Michigan at 1 p.m. Friday in Bridgeport, Conn., in the first game of the opening round of the NCAA Hockey Tournament.
The Falcons (27-10-2), who won their third straight Atlantic Hockey Association Tournament title on Saturday, wound up with the No. 13 overall seed in the 16-team event. Michigan (29-11), the No. 1 seed in the region and No. 4 seed overall, lost 5-2 Saturday to Notre Dame in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association championship game.
The other two teams in Bridgeport are ECAC champion Yale (24-7-2), the region's No. 2 and overall No. 5, and Hockey East's Vermont (20-11-5). They will play at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
